Christopher Morgan

About Me

I am an early career professional in the conservation and outdoor recreation field and serve as a community planner for the National Park Service. I have a master's degree from the Natural Resources and Environmental Studies program at the University of Northern British Columbia, focusing on systematic conservation planning. I have previously worked as a planner for the Minnesota Department of Transportation and GIS specialist for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and before that graduated with a BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Personal Interests

A city kid with an affinity for the outdoors and countryside, I enjoy basketball, hiking, canoeing, and lake swimming. I have a deep appreciation for parks and how they connect people to nature, serving as an intersection of recreation and wildlife habitat.

I've also been a radio DJ in both the US and Ireland. I have a fairly eclectic taste in music, reserving a special place for local artists. I'm also a sucker for geographic references in song lyrics.
